- 1) To provide a free demonstration of each knot, hitch and lashing that Scouts need to earn rank advancements through First Class.

2) To assist adult volunteers in their efforts to teach knots, hitches and lashings to Scouts and other adult volunteers.
Within the DVD, we provide discussion, alternative methods, multiple views and ways to involve shy parents with each knot.
We include an overview of "rope" terminology, and a few examples of what happens when we "do it wrong."
In addition to "Scout Knots," we also throw in two variations of the "Trucker's Knot" that we all need and use in our everyday
lives--especially when hauling gear to-and-from outings!
